Requirements to Take this Class
Mr. Morris generally holds his classes on the third Saturday of each month at 3225 NC HWY 62 E. Liberty, NC. Because of his contracting work he may have to shift some classes. Check the Registration Form for exact dates.
Students from Guilford, Alamance, Randolph, Chatham and Davidson counties make up the bulk of those who attend our Concealed Carry Permit classes, but residents of any county in North Carolina are welcome to attend.
The morning is dedicated to the basics where you will take the NRA's First Steps Pistol Orientation that includes gun safety, the fundamentals of shooting your pistol, and different shooting techniques.
Following a break for lunch he goes into the laws governing carrying a concealed firearm in North Carolina along with scenarios designed to illustrate when it is legal to use your firearm and what the legal ramifications may be.
The class concludes at a local range where the student will fire 50 rounds and qualify with their firearm. The first 10 rounds are to review and practice techniques taught in the class and to allow the instructor to observe your form and make any necessary corrections. The next 30 rounds are to qualify firing at targets at three, five, and seven yards. The last 10 rounds are to review and practice possible real-world scenarios.
Class begins promptly at 8:00 so please arrive a few minutes early to sign in.
